Mendoza Group partnered with Medicos Unidos, a non-profit organization based in PA, to support them in applying for and getting a federal grant to develop a COVID vaccine awareness campaign among Hispanic communities. The communication goal was to directly address vaccine misinformation and specific topics that have been particularly relevant to the Hispanic community through alternative messaging approaches.
- Addressing COVID-19 vaccines hesitancy concerns and barriers using a more lighthearted and even humorous approach than traditional campaigns.
- Developing culturally relevant messaging and customized illustrations that speak directly to Hispanics and against the main myths circulating in this community (such as microchips, infertility, vaccination deaths, or COVID being a lie).
- Designing multiple assets in Spanish and English for Digital, Social, Native, OOH, Radio and Outreach efforts.
- Assisting the client at events held at locally trusted venues like community centers, churches, schools, or markets, with bilingual medical professionals, and during off-hours and weekends.
